Want to get some hands-on experience?

The Journalism Program at Fullerton College allows an environment that allows hands-on, real-world experience by working on established media outlets. You will gain valuable and essential material for your portfolio, whether it is written article, photos, multimedia or any other type of published communication. Many of our students go on to get internships at major publications and are trained with the skills it takes to become a competitive hire in the field.

Antorcha del Sur

Fullerton College’s Journalism Program is the only community college in California that has a course in Spanish Language Media and allows students to create content in Spanish and publish on a student-produced media outlet—Antorcha del Sur. Students get real-world, hands-on experience that can make a difference.

The Spanish-language publication class has not been offered at Fullerton College since 2020 due to low enrollment, and Antorcha del Sur is currently on hiatus. However, Inside Fullerton has published Spanish-language content in select issues, and any students interested in Spanish-language reporting should contact Jessica Langlois at jlanglois@fullcoll.edu.
